i.V King releases her new single, Teenage Drama. With an undercurrent of teenage angst and frustration, the song reimagines the traditional high school experience that many LGBTQ+ people never had the opportunity to fully embrace. It critiques societal norms by questioning why there can’t be room for all identities, including the possibility of having two prom queens.
Teenage Drama has sassy pop instrumentation. I love the gritty guitars and punchy drums during the spirited moments. The vocals aren’t merely good, but they literally give the whole thing a whole lot of color. The chorus is immediately recognisable.
King represents pop as it should. Check out Teenage Drama below!
