New Girl is a self-produced release by Oslo-based artist, DJ, and producer Tilla. She analyzes the complications of comparing yourself to others, stressing the inner conflict of wanting to prove worthiness and desirability regardless of external appearances. The lyrics are drenched in contemplativeness.
Awash with ambient Oslo subway sounds and subtle sparks of R&B, soul, and hip-hop, New Girl makes an optimal companion for your daily commute. Initially a forgotten 2017 demo, the song found rejuvenation after Tilla sang it live.
