Indie music group The Interior release their new single, Hold the Destination. It integrates pop-inspired instrumentation that takes cues from indie acts like Bright Eyes and The National. The sound is mellow, but not too much, so there’s a constant push to it. I love the way things unfold musically. The vocals are dreamily sweet, which really suits the arrangement.
The lyrics talk about gaining a fresh understanding or perspective, which implies letting go of old beliefs and discovering your own truths. Plus, they represent the overwhelming emotions we experience during periods of change.
