Sydney-based alternative R&B/pop artist Jazzy Dale returns with her new single, Rich Boy, a song that re-defines wealth and affirms that material wealth isn’t what matters most.
It was born from an experience that Jazzy had when she started dating with someone who seemed to have it all. It made her question whether he was serious. In a moment of self-doubt, Jazzy even wondered why someone so successful would be interested in her. That’s when her best friend made a powerful point: “He may be rich, but he’d be a lot richer with you.” This realization is the heart of Rich Boy.
Sonically, there’s a lot going on in this song. I truly love its bouncy beat and catchy electronic textures. The vocals express power through their delivery, so they’re difficult to miss.
