After releasing her debut EP Conversations early last year, London-based singer-songwriter Ella Jinks delivers her new song Maybe In Another Life as her eagerly-awaited return. It has bluesy influences that seep their way into the pop atmosphere. I love how the bassline dances around the strings and acoustic guitars. The drums add extra energy to the rhythm.
Maybe in Another Life explores endings and how we tend to get caught up in fantasy scenarios where things could have been different, distracting us from dealing with the reality of letting go. The lyrics are intended to show reality.
