Through introspective lyrics, the artists challenge whether pursuing success and status at all costs is truly worthwhile. They encourage you to stay true to yourself and let life unfold naturally rather than forcing predetermined outcomes. As someone who also struggles with these questions at times, I found their message quite relatable.
American Grime harkens back to earlier eras of indie pop. The vocals move towards the sky constantly, pulling you in. Meanwhile, the guitar chords and robust textures have an infectious quality that drives you to dance.
