Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
Last January, singer/songwriter Emma Jane shared Buzzkill. The song reflects on her imperfections and the perception others have of her, acknowledging feelings of shame, anxiety, and being a “hot mess.” Even with these challenges, there’s an atmosphere of empowerment as she embraces who she is, recognizing that she has learned to love herself better than ever before.
Buzzkill has a high-energy vibe, featuring punchy electric pop production with a punk rock edge. The vocals are well-positioned in the mix, which makes them easy to hear. During the last section, the sky of the piece really opens up, revealing some new involving concepts.
