Swan’s new single, The Outcome, holds strong personal meaning. It was written during a difficult time when someone incredibly important in her life, a mentor figure, passed away unexpectedly. This person had been instrumental in shaping Swan’s approach to music, teaching her that true greatness lies not in complexity but in honesty and authenticity.
As the Dutch singer-songwriter poured her heart into writing the lyrics, she felt an uncanny sense that her late mentor was right there beside her, looking over her shoulder, offering gentle wisdom, just as he had so many times before.
The song itself is a beautifully constructed composition, mixing driving grooves and classical strings with soaring harmonies. Swan’s main performance reflects strength as she sings from a place of vulnerability.
