Rajan’s Lullaby by Canadian artist Yasmine Gill is a moving depiction of one of grief’s most difficult stages: desperately wanting the physical presence of a lost loved one back in your world. The song explores this longing by recalling memories from the past.
Through gentle, soulful instrumentation and vocals that swell with emotion, Gill brings respect and honor to the one for whom she sings. She holds on to small moments and interactions that represented his humanity. Between verses, the keys drift as if they carry souls.
Rajan’s Lullaby aims to alleviate some of the isolation that stems from deep sorrow. By sharing her story, Gill helps others feel less alone in their pain. Check out the song below!
