Copenhagen-based duo Alpas Ave are Marianne Ernst Dam and Martin Pilgaard Grishauge. They share Oblivion High, one of the songs from their debut album, The Woman In Ashes. Its lyrics depict a need for escape and transformation. The repeated themes of being launched into space and seeking freedom emphasize this. The connection with the sun and references to divine femininity imply a spiritual journey towards enlightenment and purification.
