Emerging singer-songwriter MOUQI releases her new single, Levitate. The lyrics are all about how time flies, especially those carefree summer days, but it also gets deep and philosophical about whether things in life last forever or just exist temporarily.
There’s a nostalgic feel to it, as MOUQI is reflecting on the habits or mindsets she used to have, and trying to make sense of how she’s evolved as a person. The concept of “levitating” represents overcoming the struggles and rising above whatever’s been weighing you down.
Levitate totally gives off those mellow autumn/winter vibes. It sounds similarly to artists like Cleo Sol and Olivia Dean. I’m really feeling the vocal performance. By the time the last notes fade out, you’re left feeling more comfortable.
