Dutch singer/songwriter KEES releases her new single, Chaos. It talks about maneuvering through life’s chaos and embracing the moments of stillness and togetherness in the middle of inconstancy.
During the song’s first part, there’s a notion of seeking transparency and understanding, while also recognizing that not everything needs to be clear and that perspective matters. The second part depicts a peaceful acceptance of the present moment, insinuating at a desire to simply “be” rather than constantly striving for success. It prioritizes the idea of letting things take their own course and finding comfort in just existing.
Teaming up with Koen and Gilles van Wees (Banji/Shiraga), KEES has instilled this track with a melancholic vibe. The soft synthesizers swirl like a light fog, invoking longing and introspection. The pulsating beat propels you forward with its insistent groove.
Chaos is a track that understands life isn’t always an one-way trail. There are ups and downs. But with the right soundtrack, even the most meandering detours can have a certain bittersweet beauty to them. KEES, Koen, and Gilles have bottled that feeling here.
