When LAGIOIA’s closest friend was going through an incredibly difficult time and struggling with thoughts of suicide, the singer-songwriter was deeply impacted. In an effort to support her dear friend during this crisis, LAGIOIA channeled her emotions into writing a powerful song titled One Less Soldier.
The lyrics eloquently capture the pain of someone battling depression and suicidal ideation, while also serving as a hopeful reminder that they have people in their life who care deeply and don’t want to lose them. With lush pop vocal harmonies intertwining and a choir, the sound mirrors this message of optimism.
Though recorded during a heartrending situation, One Less Soldier has since become LAGIOIA’s favorite own song. And we understand that completely.
