Rising singer-songwriter India Eve Hartley always hits the mark. She recently dropped her new single, memory loss. It captures the tension and complexity of a strained relationship. Hartley is deeply upset by the fact that her lover ignores her. Because of this, she longs for closure in a situation where memories fade and emotions run deep.
There’s something welcoming and warm about the indie pop production on this track. I’m really digging how the guitar riffs shimmer and dance around the smooth, steady drumline. And the vocals are just sublime – they’ve got this rich, full-bodied quality that fills up the whole space.
