Rum Jungle is a surf rock alt-pop band hailing from Newcastle, Australia. They share their new single, Weather’s Better. It describes a scene where two people are cruising in a car, enjoying the freedom of the open road and the company of each other. The imagery of driving with the wind in their hair, feeling at peace, and living in the present moment represents liberation and contentment.
The production rocks here. Each member’s unique style comes out – from smooth, slick guitar melodies to hard-hitting, driving bass lines. But even with all those individual talents, the single still manages to come together as one cohesive, unified sound, just like their live shows. It’s cool to know that Weather’s Better started out much chiller, but Rum Jungle eventually decided to go with something more dynamic.
