Singer-songwriter Aimee Lefkowicz releases her new single, Careful. It begins with beautiful piano tones that rise like the sun over the horizon. Smooth vocals sweep over them a little later, further refining the sound. At certain moments, alt country influences come into play, with drums that really deliver some punch, especially during the chorus. The vocals are remarkable due to their vividness.
Careful features tender lyrics, exploring the aftermath of a breakup and the traces it leaves behind. Aimee also cautions her ex’s current partner not to be too enamored by his charm. It’s all described quite dramatically, but that’s part of what makes it so gripping.
