Over the last few months, Australian trio daste. have been building the anticipation for their upcoming album with a collection of great new singles including Around, Colours, Atlas, Starwriter, River.
Now they’re releasing Tide. It has an undulating bassline that immediately makes you think you’re chilling on the beach somewhere. The melodies are nicely stacked, and they have a soulful feel. The high vocals climb upwards at their own pace, reaching for the stars.
Tide is about wanting to step away from stress and everyday life. It’s crazy how little opportunity we get for that kind of reprieve in today’s fast-paced world. A chance to breathe, refocus, and remember what it feels like to just be human – priceless, really.
