Indie pop artist Alex Sophia lives in New York. She releases her new single Something New. It was recorded with the help of a full band. The outcome reflects splendor. I love how organic and powerful everything sounds. And can we talk about that sax that comes in out of nowhere? Such a brilliant touch. Alex’s vocals also cut through the mix beautifully.
There’s an iconic quality to the storytelling here. The way Alex compares falling in love to strolling through New York City as winter transitions into spring has something so poetic. You can picture the flowers starting to bloom, mirroring those early fluttery feelings of a new crush.
