Grace Day’s musical journey began in the lively streets of Galway, Ireland, where she was first pulled on stage at an open mic. She recently released American Dreamin’. The song covers all sorts of themes like hope, heartbreak, feeling isolated, and being disappointed. But at its core, it’s really about chasing an unconventional dream and how that path doesn’t come easy. You’ve got to be ready for some serious struggles along the way if you want to be successful.
American Dreamin’ has beautiful instrumentation. It starts very calmly, but becomes more dynamic. I like the way the guitars are positioned here, and the drums sound solid enough. The singing is very heartfelt in terms of tone.
