Jacqui Siu hails from New Zealand, but lives in London. She drops Predictable, a song that’s definitely not what you’d call predictable. I love how the 808 bass line pushes the beat onward. Atmospheric synths give off a ‘wow’ factor. The electric guitar has a very melodic sound rather than being static. The singing hits the proper tone.
This song catches the frustration of realizing that the relationship has become predictable, with one person giving their all without receiving the same level of commitment in return. The lyrics are heartfelt, sketching a situation that many people can relate to.
