LA-based, Kiwi-born indie-pop chanteuse Lisa Crawley has been captivated by music since she was young. I think her new single, Hurry Up and Wait, sounds absolutely awesome. It features cool 2000s-inspired guitars and hooks that are, well, super catchy. You’re definitely going to sing along; there’s no other way.
The lyrics make a lot of sense here when you hear them. Written from the perspective of someone caught between possibility and reality, the song captures the emotional ambiguity of wondering what might have happened if circumstances had aligned just a little differently.
Crawley is one with creativity. Hurry Up and Wait isn’t just any song, but a really good one. Check it out below!
