Meagre Martin is a Berlin-based indie music project founded by African-American musician/songwriter Sarah Martin (she/her) in the summer of 2021. Comfort Food can be found on their brand new EP, Up To Snuff. With a catchy bass line, whirling synths, twangy guitars, and a driving drumbeat, the song gives both an ode to the familiar and a salute to the things that help us cope, like comfort food. It reflects on how we cling to what we know when everything else seems uncertain, but also how these changes push us to grow.
So the next time you find yourself overwhelmed by change, Comfort Food is what you put on. And don’t forget: Adapting may be hard, but sometimes, it leads to something sweeter than you ever expected.
