Singer-songwriter Eliana Glass releases Shrine as the lead single from her elusive debut LP. She expresses regret, as if opportunities were wasted, and acknowledges the influence of someone else in her life, even though that person may never realize their contribution. As the song unfolds, Eliana speaks of her frustration with not being able to be the person she always wanted to be, due to the shadows that encircle her.
Shrine has experimental sonic elements. It’s observable that the piano keys follow unconventional ways as they wrap themselves around a convincing but very moody vocal performance. Overall very fascinating.
