Canadian dark pop artist Nares releases her new single, Levitate, featuring 8485. The song explores themes of transformation, isolation, and connection. Its lyrics are deep, easily opening the door to your mind.
Levitate sounds legendary. It’s got these massive, pounding beats, layered over spacey, atmospheric sounds. Nare’s vocals direct the production and set the general tone, giving them a memorable quality.
The music video for Levitate is based on Nares and 8485’s zodiac signs, Water (Pisces) and Fire. The visual features some great scenes, such as one where 8485 can be seen floating in an above-ground pool, lost in thought, searching for purpose.
