soft siren is an emerging dream pop band formed in Los Angeles, California by Sidewalks and Skeletons and CASHFORGOLD They release their new single, Dethereal. It captures the bittersweet ache of lost love. Although melancholic, the lyrics feel liberating. There’s nothing better than getting it all out in the open.
Dethereal sounds brilliant, in my opinion. Swirling, distorted guitars cascade in layered waves, building an immersive wall of sound reminiscent of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. Ethereal, airy vocals drift through the mix like a distant memory, blurring the line between melody and atmospheric.
