23-year-old artist and producer Annie Elise is inspired by the synesthesia she experiences. She recently dropped her new single, let go. It talks about struggling to let go of a toxic relationship, feeling trapped by emotional manipulation, and the inner conflict of wanting to move on but not being able to fully release the attachment.
The song’s production pulls not only from UK Garage & Drum & Bass, but also from Imogen Heap’s pop sensibilities. I love how it sounds. The vocals are iconic for their movement and intensity.
