In her new single, Hating Myself, singer-songwriter Mari Milano uncovers layers of vulnerability, revealing the reality of what it feels like to love someone when you can’t love yourself. She was stuck in the vicious cycle of pushing someone away not because she wanted to, but because she believed they deserved more.
The track has a pulsating dance beat with an extra splash of energy in the production. So while the words pull at your heartstrings, the music makes you want to move. The vocals sound sublime, having plenty of personality to them.
