over overthinking it by dollhouse is the kind of breakup song that doesn’t make you cry, as it’s unapologetically cool, refreshingly self-aware, and somehow manages to turn emotional unraveling into an empowering release.
I love the production here. The electric guitars shimmer with gritty, distorted edges and are full of texture. Another scene-stealer is the bassline, which not only underpins the song, but lays down a groove that feels coolly detached and yet completely satisfying.
