London-based duo Tilt releases their debut single, dejavu. Revolving around the pull of old patterns, it explores the unglamorous truth of slipping back into an ex’s bed, not out of love, but for the addictive comfort of chaos. “I don’t need something new, so I run to you like water…” the vocals confess, threading desire, nostalgia, and self-awareness.
With highly emotional production, dejavu captures Tilt’s unique sonic identity, one that draws from indie, electronic, and alternative R&B influences. Things sound absolutely next level. I love how the song unfolds from beginning to end.
