Coming just a year after Short N’ Sweet, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend feels like a joyful release, not a rushed effort. I’ve been looping it since midnight, and I honestly think it has the best cohesiveness of her recordings.
The album is smothered in disco dazzling, soft yacht-rock grooves, and even some ABBA-inspired sparkle. It’s all super warm to the ear.
Lyrically, Man’s Best Friend might not be as deep as emails I can’t send, and that’s okay. Carpenter is really creating a character-driven pop universe here. The cheeky innuendos and playful one-liners are part of her identity now, and while some critics name them cliché, I see pure genius.
Man’s Best Friend lets Sabrina bask in the spotlight confidently. She truly owns her style and keeps it relevant. Check out the project below!
