em elle (formerly Marie Lang), born in Vienna and raised in Austria, studied classical music at Berklee College of Music before moving to the U.S. She recently released problem, which serves as first taste of her upcoming EP Feed Me Poison, set to arrive in early 2026,
Co-written and produced with MOTSA (Valerio Dittrich), problem mixes the moody pull of BANKS with the sleek pulse of Kaytranada. It sounds dark and sultry.
The song’s lyrics are thoughtful. They talk about being the “problem” in someone else’s story: falling for a person who already belongs to someone else, fully aware of the consequences, and giving in anyway.
