Ava Valianti is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Newbury, Massachusetts whose music focuses on emotion. Her latest single, Running on Empty, provides heartfelt lyrics. They’re inspired by the feeling that people don’t always disappear in a big moment, but fade away over time until the day comes when you realize they’re gone. That shift, from love to memory to almost nothing, is so heartbreaking and confusing.
Running on Empty has acoustic guitar melodies and strings that give the sound wings. The vocals vary between being soft and theatrical, making them highly varied.
