Singer-songwriter Ava Valiante is someone who knows how to get her emotions across through her music. With The Conversation, she continues to be open. The song talks about caring deeply for someone while knowing that you cannot be where they are. It’s that feeling of putting off the truth out of fear of hurting them, even though avoiding reality hurts both of you.
I like the arrangement here, which is unique because of the use of instruments like sax. The vocals are excellent, which should come as no surprise to anyone.
