Nashville’s own Fields of Jake releases his new single, If Only It Was up to Me. Assembling modern polish with a retro heartbeat, Jake channels the soul-searching spirit of Dawes and Daisy Jones & The Six while keeping his own spark firmly in the present.
The track finds Jake considering all the might-have-beens, must-have-saids, and didn’t-quite-make-it parts of a failed relationship. Its lyrics have a subtle magnetism, the kind that sneaks up on you rather than shouts for attention.
