Marilyn Hucek is a rising American-Chilean indie pop artist. She releases Rebound as part of her debut album. Its lyrics are powerful, in my opinion. They tread the fine line between denial and regret, like the soundtrack to pretending you’re over it while you aren’t. The way Hucek owns such contradiction is refreshingly genuine.
I really like the arrangement here because it’s driven by catchy guitar melodies that make it fun to listen to. The vocals are wonderful, moving around with conviction.
Hucek continues to make high-quality music; she’s totally on top of things. Check out Rebound below!
