Lila Holler is an alternative songwriter and musician whose work is heavily influenced by a youth spent bouncing around the US. Her latest single, The Way I Am Now, sits somewhere between self-doubt and self-acceptance. Written during a period of personal struggle, she tries to capture what it means to take care of yourself while showing up for others.
Due to its detuned guitar chords and understated production, The Way I Am Now feels weightless yet emotionally heavy. The vocal layering is brilliant, adding sparkle to the foundation.
