Natalie Del Carmen, a rising star in the Americana world, has released her newest folk-inflected single, June, You’re on My Mind, which sounds amazing. I’m a big fan of its vibrant acoustic strings and soft percussion work. The vocals are phenomenal too, adding plenty of personality to the mix.
Pulling inspiration from pastoral summer landscapes, the track deals with longing and the tension that accompanies being in love without actually wanting it. It’s a tough spot to be in, no doubt.
