Blooming Fire is a sister-brother fronted band inspiring listeners to get outside, have fun and connect deeply with Mother Earth. They now release their debut album, riPPle eFFect, which was written across the late 2010s–2024 and recorded at Revolver Recording Studios, Fireside Sound and Joshua Tree Recording Studio.

The project kicks off with ALIEN, featuring both atmospheric and pop textures. I’m especially fond of its drums. The wavy vocals and the more expressive rap contrast each other well, adding unexpected movement to the production.

ANGEL follows, and the guitar riffs here sound pretty funky. The drums are back here as well and have the right rhythm running. My favorite part is the solo, which comes in at around 2:55.

TK feels a bit more restrained than ANGEL and relies greatly on vocal duality. WATERFALLS really empowers you by telling you to let go. This message is especially prominent in the chorus. The switch to a more acoustic vibe towards the end makes sense. And yes, the sax work breathes awesomeness.

NEVER GONNA BRING ME DOWN contains some of the best rapping on the album. I love how it makes you feel confident that no one can beat you. Queen is perhaps the most appealing tune on the album, because it has such a fresh indie vibe.

SHE FELT AT PEACE will deepen your understanding of peace. The way the riffs develop throughout is clever. WHAT ABOUT LOVE concludes the project perfectly with some experimental nods that make it notable. It’s also impressive how all textures work together.

Blooming Fire truly does things their way. riPPle eFFect embodies true creativity. Check it out below!
