Only Mindy Gledhill could take the most cliché phrase in existence and enrich it. Written as a dare to make something great out of a terrible title, Livin’ the Dream somehow ends up being one of her most honest songs yet. The lyrics trace the stillness and frustration of feeling stuck while everyone else seems to move ahead.
The sound mixes gentle country tones with indie warmth, balanced by a longing undercurrent. Mindy’s voice holds both weariness and hope, reminding us that even in exhaustion, there’s beauty in trying again.
