Born and raised on the vibrant island of Puerto Rico, Cely Riva began her musical journey in New York City, but now resides in Los Angeles. She drops Tú y Yo. By focusing on memory, possibility, and what current circumstances allow, the song goes beyond clichés to explore the many ways in which love exists. The lyrics, written in Spanish, are superb.
The track was made during a late-night creative session, where Riva collaborated with Ordinarios, the project of producer and songwriter Gian Carlo Rodríguez Cumba. That nocturnal setting is woven into the song’s atmosphere, giving it a calm, vulnerable, and emotionally rich tone.
