Based in Berlin and drawing inspiration from artists like Florence + The Machine, M83, Wolf Alice, Placebo, and Kate Bush, Lucy Fair’s style lives in the atmospheric, expressive space where pop gets a little dramatic, a little mystical, and a little emotionally suspicious (in a good way).
Her new track, Something in the Water, is about the parts of ourselves we haven’t met yet or maybe the parts we’ve been actively ignoring because they’re inconvenient, risky, or slightly chaotic. The lyrics have much power to them.
Something in the Water has that modern, clean production feel, but with enough texture to keep it from feeling flat or sterile. Nothing is screaming for your entire attention, but everything is doing its job.
With Something in the Water, Lucy delivers something iconic. Check it out below!
