UK artist Rae Travers recorded Love in the City with Seattle-based producer Andy D Park (Noah Gunderson, Deep Sea Diver, Noah Cyrus). It has calm, identity-filled indie pop sounds that make you want to express yourself freely. The chorus kicks in nicely and remains solid. Rae sings from the heart, putting emphasis on each note.
Love in the City is a story of queer love and LGBTQIA+ acceptance. Rae wanted the song to depict the moment she walked into her first queer bar and instantly felt at home. It also refers to her first queer relationship after leaving London and the longing to be back in that moment.
