Dropped this Wednesday alongside news of her UK/EU tour, COME GET YOUR GIRL acts as the centerpiece of A6EXTENDED, a deluxe album that takes Lights’ 2025 release and straps a rocket to it with eight brand new songs. It’s like she’s saying “you thought we were done? Cute.”
COME GET YOUR GIRL tackles the specific flavor of panic when you finally, finally, understand how much someone means to you, but the timing feels catastrophically wrong. The lyrics have much depth to them, in my opinion.
The track builds in a similar way to the emotional realization it chronicles. We’re talking stratospheric vocal stacks, pulsing beats that you feel in your ribcage, and synth work that somehow sounds both retro-tinged and futuristic.
