M. Lucky have always had a talent for making anxiety sound good. Their new single Skip takes that to another level.
The track crackles with nervous energy from the jump. It captures the feeling of being completely overstimulated and somehow turns it into something you want to bounce around to. Anxiety as a dance move, basically.
The Dutch indie electronic duo have already caught the ears of FIP, Numéro, OOR, and Radio 2 (NL), and Skip makes it pretty clear why. It’s super sharp.
Skip also marks the official announcement of M. Lucky’s upcoming album Good Entertainment, out April 10, a record that sounds like it’ll be gleefully dealing with the absolute chaos of modern life. If this single is anything to go by, we’re ready.
