You know that feeling when you’ve been holding something in for way too long, and it finally decides it’s done being polite? That’s Filliah’s This Is Not Fun.
The production reflects what’s happening emotionally. It literally wakes up as the song goes on, moving from that initial restraint into something more urgent. The synths stay heavy throughout, creating this dense, almost foggy backdrop, while the guitars slice through it all like the thoughts you’ve been trying not to think. The vocals sit right in the mix, sometimes blending into the backdrop, sometimes cutting above it.
