Lizet Aviva’s new single Une Vie Trop Tranquille was born from a nighttime walk along the Baltic Sea in Sopot, where she was staying for a writing residency at The Playground Residence. The water lay still and shimmering under the moonlight, almost like a calm lake, when a French proverb surfaced in her mind: une vie trop tranquille est une mer morte.
That single thought became the song’s core, a reflection on the necessity of movement, unrest, and intensity for living.
Together with her band (Tijl Piryns, Tom Radsma, and Django Trienes) and producer Matthijs Kievit, Avia formed the sound, which is both serene and theatrical. Her vocals are iconic, bringing such conviction to every line.
Aviva is currently on a roll. Une Vie Trop Tranquille represents pure talent. Check it out below!
