Annie Schultz’s new single Search and Destroy explores the feeling that something is wrong before you can prove it, and the gradual unraveling of manipulation as you discover what’s going on. The lyrics are so well-written.
The song’s production sounds brilliant. Pulsing drum machine rhythms, layered keyboards, and a driving electric bassline form the foundation, while acoustic elements weave through shimmering, effect-drenched textures to hypnotically mesmerize.
