Loving someone more than they love you is one of those things you know before you’re ready to admit it. Navarro said it out loud to herself first, and then wrote a whole song about it, titled Embarrassing. Its lyrics are so powerful, in my opinion.
Stripped of percussion and driven entirely by delicate guitar, the production makes sure there’s nowhere to hide. The vocals sound phenomenal, giving emotions the opportunity to come forward with just the right amount of tension.
