As a fan and student of artists from Maggie Rogers to Fiona Apple to SZA, Julia Bryant loves drawing artistry from many different genres. She wrote Cartoons when her mood was down due to the state of the world, and she wanted comfort from loved ones. Its lyrics are personal, making them incredibly authentic.
I love the production of this song, which includes distinctive melodic and rhythmical textures. The way the vocals present themselves elevates them to another level. You’ll be blown away.
