Los Angeles alt-pop duo paer returns with their new single, Mean It, following their 2025 debut. It has amazing instrumentation, comprising vivid, driving bass, hypnotic arpeggiated guitar, jagged synths, and steady drum beats. The vocals sound dreamy, making you float away in your thoughts.
Mean It talks about circling back until the distinction between chasing and being chased, between convincing yourself and believing it, begins to dissolve, and the spiraling path we travel before breaking destructive patterns. The lyrics are absolutely insightful.
